Earth Day Amphibian Booth

Earth Day weekend at the Houston Zoo was really hopping at the Amphibian Conservation Booth. Docents, volunteers and Conservation staff were on hand to educate the public about the Global Amphibian Crisis and Amphibian Conservation Projects in which the Houston Zoo is involved. Zoo visitors got an up close and personal look at some of our resident native amphibians and learned how they could help these amphibians at home. There were childrens books, biofacts and colorful pictures on hand as well, capturing the attention of hundreds of little frog fanatics. We raised an outstanding $500 from the sale of our frog pins and plush golden frogs. All money raised from this booth will go to Amphibian Conservation at the Houston Zoo!
